Dr. Maurer is the Director of the Interventional Spine Pennsylvania Hospital Department of Orthopaedics and Lankenau Center for Spinal Disorders
His areas of expertise include treating symptoms associated with herniated discs, painful degenerative discs, spinal stenosis, and spinal compression fractures caused by osteoporosis and cancer.
Dr. Maurer is recognized nationally as one of the regions most experienced physicians in treating spine-related pain and disorders. He is a pioneer of advanced interventional pain management procedures (i.e. spinal injections, discography, spinal cord stimulation), and a leading expert in minimally invasive spine surgery for fractured vertebrae (kyphoplasty / vertebroplasty) and spinal stenosis (X-Stop).
Dr. Maurer strives to provide the highest level of care by continuing to develop minimally invasive procedures and surgery. His philosophy is to offer honesty and experience to his patients in all efforts to relieve the suffering and immobility caused by spinal disorders.
